GHGeochem Ltd

GHGeochemical Services started trading in the Summer of 1991. The twelve months prior to this Gareth Harriman had left the Geochem Group Ltd to set up an environmental laboratory with ex-VG personnel in Manchester. This laboratory, Scientific Analysis Laboratories, was set up to do dioxin analysis but 90% of the work in the first six months was geochemical work that came in as a result of Gareth Harriman's contacts within the oil industry. Consequently, in the Spring of 1991 Gareth split from SAL and set up GHGeochemical Services. The laboratories are based in Crewe, Cheshire and in the Earth Sciences Department of Liverpool University. In 2000, GHG acquired the geochemical equipment assets of the Geochem Group and are now the custodians of the Geochem oil collection. GHGeochemical Services celebrated 10 years of operations in July 2001 and was incorporated as GHGEOCHEM LTD in June 2002.
